Many of the greatest injustices are being committed by police, and the victims are only further abused in the prison system. That’s why we have a list of eight demands that we believe would effectively solve this crisis.

1. Defund police 

2. Demilitarize communities

3. Remove police from schools

4. Exonerate the wrongfully convicted and those who have committed minor non-violent crimes from jails and prisons

5. Repeal laws that criminalize survival

6. Invest in community self-governance

7. Provide safe and affordable housing for marginalized communities 

8. Invest in public infrastructure and services (housing, education, healthcare)
